Re: Finger nail used / how to buff a way
Tim,
SwirlX and ScratchX use Meguiar's new Super Micro Abrasive Technology (SMAT) and where you use it will be the shiniest paint on your car.
In This case I would go with SwirlX as it has a little less cut than ScratchX. The SMAT in SwirlX will let you control the amount of paint you remove and still provide a finish ready for waxing.
1. By a quality foam application pad
2. Buy SwirlX
3. Buy a quality Microfiber Towel.
4. Shake up the SwirlX and place a small amount of SwirlX on the pad. Rub back and forth over the mark using medium pressure at first for about 30 seconds, wipe the area gingerly with the MF to remove the residue and inspect. If the mark is gone, add some wax and your done, if not repeat the process and add more pressure and/or time if you feel it necessary.
5. Report back here and let us know how it went.
Note: I have heard of marring occurring by people who used microfiber pads instead of of the soft form applicator pads. So if you can't find foam applicator pad at any local stores order some online.
Good luck,
Mike
