Hi stoop,don't worry about the wax at the moment.That's the least of your problems.
Firstly,those pics just came up now.They were'nt there earlier.
I've had a look at your pics.Thanks for taking the time to upload them.In this case,step 1 and 2 won't really do anything to remove those scratches and swirls.You're deeper scratches are down to the primer by the looks of it.So you can't go down to their level.Check to see if any of the deep scratches are down to the metal.If left unattended,they will start to rust.
For those deep scratches,you'll either need to touch them up with a paint stick or get the panel resprayed. A good spray painter can actually do good blending to side panels,without doing the whole panel.On side panels,you can get away with it so to speak.
