Re: What cleaner/polisher/wax should i get?

Hi stoop, don't worry about the wax at the moment. That's the least of your problems.

Firstly, those pics just came up now. They were'nt there earlier.

I've had a look at your pics. Thanks for taking the time to upload them.In this case, step 1 and 2 won't really do anything to remove those scratches and swirls. You're deeper scratches are down to the primer by the looks of it.So you can't go down to their level.Check to see if any of the deep scratches are down to the metal. If left unattended, they will start to rust.

For those deep scratches, you'll either need to touch them up with a paint stick or get the panel resprayed. A good spray painter can actually do good blending to side panels, without doing the whole panel. On side panels, you can get away with it so to speak.

omg the car is like 6 months old, This is going to cost me a fortune, What swirls do you see that are too deep? So i should try and get a paint stick from my local dealer and just touch up those scratches?

It's not the swirls that are too deep. It's some of the scratches. Your dealer will have a touch up stick. It seems you have a lot of stone chips there too.Is this just on a lower panel?

What to do is follow the instructions given to you so far.washing, claying etc. try your scratchx 2.0 in a small taped off area and see what can be accomplished with the product. You cannot do anything with the ones that are down to the primer.

After that you will have a better vision of what needs to be done.I take it this is a badly affected part and doesn't represent the whole car?

this area is from basically the drivers side handle down to the bottom, all the scratches are basically in a line like someone wacked me with their car door.
Would u guys recomend i go out and wash/clay it now get a touch up pen tomorrow, then use scratch x2.0 on the whole vehicle, then polish then put a wax on? or should i get the pen put that on when start at the clay part?

Hi Stoop, you don't need to rush out and wash you're car right away and do the rest tomorrow.

I think the problem is that you're not catching on to what the members on the forum are advising you on.

1] Did you check out ALL the links that were given to you by Murr at the begining of this thread? These will help you get a better understanding of what you're dealing with.

2] On you're second thread,Ciera and Tuck gave you some good advice also.I can't see that there are many other ways to explain the basics.Did you understand everything?
