    Re: Need fast/urgent help!!!

You basically want to do what MudRunner did in this thread,

We encourage MOL members to show off their latest before & after results. We also welcome "Work in Progress" Threads. For Enthusiasts or Professional Detailers

If the paint comes out looking great after the UC step then you can go straight to wax like he did or you can do the extra polishing step with the SwirlX.

You're test spot should show you if the extra step is gaining you better gloss, clarity, depth of shine results and help you to decide.

ok awesome, i picked up some UC, SwirlX, ScratchX2.0, some interior stuff and some UQD, should i use UQW instead of UQD tomorrow? Also, the only pads i could find were terry cloth pads and microfiber pads, do i NEED to get foam pads?

You may not NEED them but it would probably be a good idea...you could always go grab some NXT 2.0 for future use and use the foam pad supplied with it

Just inspect your test spot to make sure you don't see any kind of cloth inflicted marring, there's range of quality when it comes to cotton and microfiber applicators and you want to make sure the applicator's you're using aren't causing any problems.

ok because i went EVERYWHERE and i could not find a foam applicator pad....ANYWHERE!

Like i said, im not going for complete perfection, as my truck is not going to be judged or anything, and i plan to get a G110 or equiv. in the near future and do it RIGHT.

All im looking for right now, is to minimize the swirling on it by going at it by hand since itll be a gloomy day anyway, no one will notice if theres any remaining swirls.

              Re: Need fast/urgent help!!!

Is your truck single stage or BC/CC? If it's single stage, it'll probably be easier to remove swirls, and Swirl X or UC will work just fine. If you can't find foam applicators, try the microfiber applicators at Wal-Mart. They're the nicest microfiber applicators I've seen, and I don't think you'll go wrong with those.
