I've always had a passion for shiny paint and chrome. I detail for friends and family. I've got a PC and a Milwaukee rotary, yes its heavy. We converted our bedroom back into a garage so I could keep my Mini under cover. I've taught my husband how to care for his black dually and he's getting much much better. Here's a couple shots of my work.
I was just wondering how many female detailers we have on this site. Typically we see males doing most of the detailing. I know my wife hates to wash her car and asks when I'm going to wash it. So, ladies speak up! I'm just trying to build a case for my wife so she sees it isn't so bad! Thanks!
This sounds like it would make a good poll! Out of curiosity, I'd like to know too, as I know NO females who are into detailing. If anything, they come to me as they are clueless. Taking a car to the full service car wash is a detail job to them (and only once or twice a year at that).
I'll have to say that my wife hates dirty wheels. When we are in public and she see's extremely dirty wheels she will grab a towel from the car and quickly wipe down half the wheel so when the owner comes out they see a partially clean wheel. Hilarious!
My sister only washes her car like once every four months. She waits until it gets so bad she can't see out the windows and then she washes it. And that's only because she has to. She'd skip it completely if she could. She'd raise hell if I were to be nice and do it for her. I don't understand it.
My fiance use to just nag when I was working on a car. Now she is out there helping me, she cleans up the interior and now knows what everything I have is for. It is great to have her show even a lil interests.
Not a professional detailer, just like my car nice, clean and shiny.
It is rough on the nails, but that just a good excuse to spend some of the ex's money for a manicure.
LOL
