I've tried both, and really found no difference. I'm currently using a microfiber wash mitt, because I like the looks of all the microfiber tentacles. But honestly I don't think there's a huge difference.

I bought a 6pk of the MF mitts from ADS, I really like them, between the mitt, it being white, and good lubrication with something like gold class I can rest easy knowing how smooth it is to wash, plush I like having them white so I can spray off any grit after each dip in to the bucket.

I may buy a few of these, I can get them for $2 each.

I've used micro-fiber mitts but now II use a discontinued Gold Class chenille wash mitt. I love the texture and the way it spreads suds. I still have 2 micro-fibers which are plenty good, but I will save them for when my current mitt gets tattered.
