This is my new project car. I was wondering if I could somehow use the DA to clean up the hood and make it look new. I do have a DA and soem cutting/ polishing pads. Hopefully I could use something, if not ill have to repaint, right?
I have a 16 year old Civic with a trunk and roof that look even worse. But the hood and fenders are OK. I plan to use it like a body panel from the junkyard - something to refine my technique on. If everything goes right, parts of that car will look showroom new!
ClearlyCoated came close to what I'd suggest, I would detail the rest of the car to see what can and can't be saved. If it turns out to be just the hood, a decent repaint for a single panel is usually pretty reasonable.
