  • Which is more durable,NXT 2.0 paste or liquid?

Hi, I really like the shine NXT 2.0 liquid produces but I find that it only lasts through about 2-3 heavy rains. Is the paste version more durable?

So they produce IDENTICAL results? Why have 2... I would think the liquid would be more convenient. So there's got to be a good reason to have the paste.

A liquid is easier to use with a machine like the G110 or Porter Cable. The Paste version works great for "old fashioned" folks or by hand. They both can be applied by hand and even the paste version can be applied by machine if you scoop it out of the can

At the moment I am in my paste phase. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I like the "feel" of applying a paste wax. Perhaps in six months I will prefer liquid waxes. Who knows?

Did you clay the vehicle before applying the wax?

What are you using to determine that the wax is there or not?

The reason I ask is that I recently did some documented tests (with video) on Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax (a spray wax that isn't as durable as NXT 2.0) and I was able to go over 3 weeks, including 4+ days of HEAVY rains and it was still beading and sheeting extremely well.

The NXT 2.0 should last even longer if properly applied and cared for.
