Re: Rain X? Windsheild only or all windows?
I dont like aquapel because i have to get up to 55 mph before the rain starts to fly off. With rain-x, it flies off at like 35-40 mph

I use RainX on the windshield only. I personally saw little benefit applying it anywhere else. If I had a car with a rear windshield slanted like that of an Acura RSX, then I'd put RainX on that too.

Just wondering if you guys find that using a quick detailer (I've used Optimum and an off-brand on my windshield) that when I have to use the wipers it made a smeary mess that I couldn't see through very well.

I actually tend to use RainX like a wax, then UQD after washing. Just got my bottle of UQW to try out next time.

I just found an unused bottle of RainX in my storage today and decided to use it on all of my windows. It never rains here in SoCal so I don't even know why I used it. If I lived in Seattle or somewhere where it rains a lot I would probably invest in some Aquapel, but for now RainX works for me.

It is Really Easy to Dry.
My Dad Talks about When He is On The Highway, and people have their windshield wipers on as fast as they go and he has them at the medium speed and he can see just fine!!!!

I replaced Rain X with UQD and UQW.
But I use all the Products on all the Windows.
It really does help when driving and drying.

Never use it. Rain-X is something I think of as being one of my fathers car products, similar to Armour-All.
One of the few non-meguiars products I have on my shelf is Clear Rain, made ny Unelko. It has a dual purpose. One is as a water repellant, the other is a glass polish.
The glass polish quotient of it is outstanding.
My Expedition has 122,000 miles worth of tiny chips and abbrasions due to pebbles, sand etc, that have "pocked" the windshield. This results in refractions in the glass. Rain Clear seals the chips and gives it a smooth surface. Instead of seeing all the tiny imperfections, I see clearer glass.
No wiper chattering. Lasts long. Water repellancy is as good or better than Rain-X, and was actually created by the same man who patented -RainX.
The glass polish aspect of this product is what impresses me the most. It gives our cars new car showroom shine. It just completes the look to have a nicely polished and detailed car, and glass all around that also looks polished.

All of the above! Side windows, sunroof, mirrors, headlights.

I dont use it on my rear window. I noticed the beading of water makes the defrosters not work as well.
