That's almost certainly your problem- not the product.

If the scratches can be removed safely by hand with anything, Ultimate Compound will be the safest, quickest, and most effective consumer grade solution on the market.

The number one mistake people seem to make when they report being unable to remove swirls or scratches with a hand-based product is a lack of pressure. You really have to put some passion behind the pad for the product to do its job.

I have removed 3,000 grit wet sanding marks in a single application with UC with ease. I have also taken an abused and swirled finish and restored it to a flawless condition in 1-2 passes with UC. It can be done.

Maybe give it another shot with some more oomph behind the pad, and report back?

        Agreed.
When I tried M105 on a visible scratch and in one application I could see noticeable improvement.
One advise is to buff of regularly to check if we have given it the right pressure on the pad.
