I have a 2008 Ford F-150 with the chrome aluminum wheels. I neglected to clean it for a bit (weather was too cold) and now after I have cleaned the wheels there is still brake dust that doesn't want to come off. It's almost like little speckled rust spots. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean this. Thanks

Re: Stubborn Brake Dust
I just used the Mequire's Gold Class Car Wash and a wash mit to wash the entire truck as well as the wheels. I didn't use any kind of wheel cleaner. Usually the soap alone does a good job of getting it all off. I just hadn't washed my truck in a while because of the weather and the dust built up. When i washed my wheels there were the little speckles of brake dust left. I can't even scratch it off with my fingernail. Not sure if my wheel has been damaged or if it's just stubborn.

Re: Stubborn Brake Dust
Wheel cleaner and an old toothbrush would probably take most of that stubborn brake dust off.Shane

If you try it you should tell us how it worked.
It looks fine, but I would not be surprised if it is a "scam" like ShamWOW.Joel
