On many of the cars I have seen around town they have these black plastic mirror cases. I was wondering how do you guys restore them to gloss and shine.

Re: How to restore plastic mirrors?
Mine are textured plastic (the bumpy looking stuff) and has a painted insert. I treat the painted as I treat the paint, and put GC Trim Detailer on the rest.
I've seen others use PlastX to clean it up as well as other products in the 80 series and I have used M105 to brighten up my taillights.Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling or questioning,

Re: How to restore plastic mirrors?
That trim detailer is GREAT!
If the plastic is clear, PlastX is the way to go.
Another option (for trim) is using Arm0rAll.
I always have some of that stuff to use up, but refuse to use it on "important" parts of my car.Luck is probability taken personally!

As long as its black plastic that isn't painted, I use Black Wow to bring it back to life. Works well so far for me. I even stopped adding more on my applicator since its super saturated now and I only used 1ozHello, I am Isaac
