I have read much and the more I read the more I find my methods may have been in error or is everyone else in error....hmmm.
In the 60's I learned to dry with a towel and remove wax with a towel.
In the late 70's it was a leather chamois for drying and towel for wax.
In the late 80's early 90's it was a synthetic chamois and towel until microfiber was introduced for removing wax/polish.
Presently I have unlearned all of this which boils down to drying and removing any wax/polish with nothing but a USA made 100% cotton towel, emphasizing 100% cotton. To even go further this towel must be completely white due to chemical contaminant transfer to the paint surface.
This may not be the venue but not matter what I use I still have the ugly residue and swirl/scratches. Even my newly purchased black beauty.
OK, I realize that chemistry of paints have changed not to mention the clear-coats. So what is the deal.
