Hi, I have noticed for some reason when I wash my girlfriends car and she doesnt care if its air dried or water magnet microfiber dry so I just leave it to air dry and for some reason her car doesnt leave those water marks. She has a metalic dark grey car and I have a black car and I was wondering would you guys know why her car doesnt leave watermarks?

Huh... interesting if I let mine air dry I am in for a workout removing the water spots. Water is not the greatest here!

Could be that because of the color it's less noticeable than a dark paint.
Do you rinse with filtered water?

If you remove the nozzle for the final rinse and flood the exterior the water will sheet off and help eliminate water spotting and speed up dry time.

ohhh that must be it. I will check it out tomorrow and inspect it. Thanks guys for your help. I was also wondering I used a water magnet microfiber towel to dry my car but it leaves all these streak because when I run over the car after the towel is wet it doesnt completely dry the car so then it leaves these tiny streak and I was wondering what step do you guys do after taking most of the water off of the car with a drying towel like the water magnet?

This is why, I use the "absorber" first. Then I finish drying the vehicle with the water magnet. No streaks for me.

I would go over it after the water magnet with a microfiber drying towel to get the rest of the little drops on the car.

I always use 2 water magnets. Works great.

I think I use almost everything the rest have posted above.

First I remove the nozzle and rinse with the full flow of the hose.
Then I use a leaf blower or compressed air, which ever is handier, to blow the water out of the cracks.
Then I lay (lay it on the area and lift off, I don't like to drag it across the paint) the Absorber on any wet areas (there aren't many after the full flow nozzle).
And finish off with the water magnet.

It many sound like a lot, but it is faster than any other way I've tried. Total time is less than 10 minutes. If the car is freshly waxed (within a couple of weeks) it's closer to 5 minutes.

Unless using like a Mr. Clean Car Shampoo & Filter you will have spots.
Or if you have a filtration system in your house, water softener, etc.

The paint probably doesn't show them as easily as your black.

Has it been waxed? If it doesnt bead then it probably wont spot. Backed with the color its hard to notice streaks and spots..

I was wondering when you guys say absorber what does that mean? Is it just another water magnet towel or is it a type of product? and Rogue I was wondering if you use the absorber to clean up the water and then when you finish off with the water magnet do you drag or do you do the same thing as just dabbing it?

The Absorber is a synthetic drying chamois. You can see it here. I never used one, as Meg's Water Magnet's work good for me.

I use the Absorber, too. As much as possible I blot the surface. It works great. I like it. I then go back over anything I missed with a waffleweave microfiber towel. I do not get water spots or streaks--at least not so far.
