I have the same rims and the only thing to do is spend 4 days on each rim or have a polish/rim shop take them apart and polish them.

4 days on each rims?! Bet you spend 3 days on the studs alone . Lets see whether I can do it like you do. BTW, when the rims shop take the rims apart, how do you clean the studs? Polish it one by one with metal polish or you have some chemicals to clean it up?

          Thanks man!

I'm not sure what the rime shop exactly does.
I've just tried to get as much of the clear coat off of mine I used acid, picked at the cc, then shined them up.
They shine but still look like pooh.. I really want to get them professional done as soon as I get it back from the shop.

In this pic you can see the cc in the other you can see how it shines and you can't see them.

Great work man... I don't think I have the patience to clean the studs one by one. Will send it to a specialist for a refurbishment. Thx for sharing the pics.

                Re: Detailing BBS RS Wheels

Fed up with the studs so I decided to disassemble the studs & polish it one by one those wire brush. It works but some blackish spot here & there can't be cleaned. Thinking of soaking it into some chemicals but I don't know which one that is good enough to soften the 20 years dirt without ruining its finish. Any suggestions?

                  Wow! You took them apart.
                  I would use acid.
Maybe your local detail supply shop would have it. Just make sure you use a respirator, not a dust mask, goggles & gloves. Also try one out first to see what exactly happens. As you can see from my rims, nothing negative happened to the studs.

My local NAPA, I think, still has wheel cleaning acid available in gallon sizes. May try a parts store in your area.

                        Re: Detailing BBS RS Wheels

citric might not work. I say might just because I use Lemon juice to make my grill in the café I use to have, shine after cleaning it. That is the only application I used a "citric acid". I used pro acid, very caustic and it barley anything to the clear coat.

You can get cc remover from your local auto store. It is very easy to do.Auto zone has some thats called aircraft stripper. You put it on let it sit and wash it off. Then use some megs alum polish and your done.
