Don't want to speak out of my realm here, but I do know that Mike practices what he preaches.

The five step. It is the most beneficial thing that any newcomer can learn here. Of course Mike and his detailing are more advanced than the average Joe, no not you Superior Shine, but I will tell you that any advice that Mike gives is from experience, not heresay.

        Experience!!

At the beginning you'll find it hard and questioning yourself, long hours of work but basically you just have to give it time and it'll be part of you and your technique will tweak for better, your eyes will detects easier and more defects and so on.

I'm sure Mike will chime in as soon as he gets a chance. I have heard him say that he uses NXT Tech Wax on almost everything he details.

A while back Mike made a video about car washing. It seems to me he did it by the book.

I have a feeling he will do us a favor and not tell.

Each of us has a unique purpose and experience level. My undedicated guess is that the products are determined by the condition of the paint, humidity, temperature, daily driver versus concourse, and will vary.

Also, by endorsing a product, experimention is discouraged.

I just think it would be interesting. We should all keep an open mind that was mike does we might not be able to do, or it might not work for our car. However, it would still be fun to see some of Mike's most used products and whatnot, on his cars.

I would be very interested in Mike's opinion on a list of Products and Techniques that have had a major effect on our industry. In the past 10 years. For example the foam pad.

Someone asked before and he did not pipe in. Not to be rude either. I THINK, the fear is if he used a certain wax, certain polish, certain compound, then we all would flock and get it.

Each car, each paint is unique to whatever product is needed. Each paint, each car reacts different to different waxes, in our own eyes, what may look good to me, you may not like. I like Gold Class wax and it lasts a long time on my Yukon, you may say GOLD CLASS? You may say your crazy, M26 looks way better on our cars..... To you (and Gold Class really does look good on our Yukon, I do use a lot of different waxes)

                      Make sense?

I'd be willing to bet his arsenal consists of a lot of stuff.

I think if he was to chime in, he would say, as he always has, "Find something you like and use it often."

x2. I was just specifically referring to the 5 step process and washing a car. He has probably forgotten more about detailing then we know.

I'm interested in what Mike uses as well.

But like a previous post said...if Mike says one thing then he may be scared that everybody else will start to follow it. Because he knows what he's talking about. And everybody's car care technique is different I guess. I'm no expert...just a newbie.

                            My 2 cents.

Well hopefully people would get a suggestion, see it didn't work for them, and stop doing it!

However, you're right, we can be stubborn and keep trying! ha-ha.
