As already posted, there is no single product that will tackle every paint system and ever paint condition on the market, at least not yet, that's why it's a good idea to have at least a few different products on hand for doing correction work. M80 Speed Glaze works for most people for most paint systems, on some paints it does leave micro-marring, actually this can be true for just about any product, that's why it's important to do a Test Spot on every car you work on and make sure your products and process of choice work to make one small area look good before going over the entire car.

What I mean to say is that I've read that a lot of people having a hard time doing multiple "passes" with the same polish/cleaner on the same area; couldn't it be that they get to the limit of the pad and cleaner that they just don't eliminate all of the fine swirls because they need something lighter vs something more agressive?
Right idea, wrong chemical. M80 doesn't finish down very well with a softer foam formula than our polishing foam formula. If you want to re-polish with a softer foam like our W9006 or W9207 finishing pads then also switch to a less aggressive product like M82, M09 or a cleaner/wax like ColorX or M66.

M80 is quite a bit more aggressive than ScratchX but from a big picture point of view, M80 is not a very aggressive product.

        Re: Black 2007 GT Mustang

        Thanks Megafast!
I used the 8027 pad. And as far as tips, I could probably suggest not to tackle all the car at once. It's too much work, specially for your first time. Pay attention to details such as taping trim. Read as much as you can, so you can learn how to do it properly.
But to tell you the truth, as much as you need to read and KNOW what your doing, it doesn't mean anything until you get out there and practice it. I spent these last few weeks reading TONS of threads and getting as much as information as I could, but couldn't put it into practice because of the weather. So that gave me plenty of time to THINK out a process.
Something I guess that happens to a lot of us new guys is that we try to tackle EVERYTHING at once, which is just too demanding, specially on your first attempt. Plus you can really get frustrating results trying to finish everything flawlessly. The picture is good but today now that I looked at it very, very closely; it isn't perfect. They're still some little scratches/marks present, but I'm truly happy with the results. I know some people might suggest to try the M83, but I would rather give it another go with the M80.
Also I've read in another thread that Mike suggests to have in hand some M105 for random scratches, and to use it manually. I'm pretty much certain that that'll be my case.
Thanks Mike and all you guys and gals who post usefull info and/or experiences, that's the most valuable thing about this great forum!
Well, like I said before, once I get the whole car done, I'll post some more pics. In the meantime, keep on waxing! Hahaha...

        CHEERS!

          Re: Black 2007 GT Mustang

OK, a little update... I kinda got stuck for different reasons. For one thing, weather hasn't been helpful these past weeks, so I've been working very "lightly" on my car. On another issue, I've had some trouble and doubts on the efficiency of my work with the G110...

So, I know what I have to do, but just need some more time and a more cooperative weather, hahaha!

          Wax on people!
