Sorry to reserect a thread from the past, but I have these scratches in my trunk from a previous owner that I cannot get out for the life of me.
I have used: W7006 => W8006 => W9006
With every pass the trunk lid looks better and better, but there are some that just seem to not come out. I normally use the PoorBoys brand of polishes going with Purple SSR2.5, and then Pink SSR1 with each of the pads listed above and a G100 polisher.
I don't have a rotary nor do I know how to use one correctly. Should I go to a more abrasive polish or a rubbing compound? I have also used Meguiars Speed Glaze in the past which is in between the SSR3 and SSR1, but it produced similar results.
Maybe I just need to come down to Meguiars for another open house and ask the man himself.Comment
