So I just got the chance to wash my car for the first time this past Monday and the car was fully detailed since 02/17 last month. I used M80 and then I applied a coat of NXT Paste Wax and then followed up it up with NXT Liquid Wax which always got me some great results.

The issue at hand that I am having is that this is the first wash since the detail was completed and I was very careful when washing and drying the car (little pressure used). Used all Meguiars products and made sure to rinse any dust or dirt that the car collected while it was out of the garage for only 2 days since 02/17. When drying the car and the sun sneaking up from the shade, I started to notice light swirls. The swirls are not very noticeable, but when viewing a panel in different angles, it was totally noticeable!!!
Again…this was only the first time the car was washed after the detail and cars only been out of the garage 2 days since then.
So sick to my stomach, I blocked a nice portion of the hood and applied some NXT Liquid Wax. Sure enough the very light coat was more then noticeable against the section that I left alone. The deep depth of the paint really stood out and in all honesty, it felt and looked as if I was cleaning a mirror. Now, does car maintenance mean that I need to wax it after every wash to avoid the swirls? Yes, the paint is very, very soft and I can leave minor scratches to the paint with my finger nails…which M80 or Scratch X can take out. Is there another Product from Meguiars that will last much longer for my car?
Or can it just be me? Appreciate any input.
