No. DC! is a dedicated paint cleaner, it is in the Paint Cleaner Category. It leaves paint looking polished because that's how Meguiar's makes their paint care products, that is our products always move your forward towards the goal of a show car shine. But that doesn't change the category the product is in.

Keep in mind M80 is in the Professional line, it is distributed primarily to the Professional side of this industry, not to enthusiasts. Enthusiasts get confused because they don't work in the re-finishing industry, so when an enthusiasts discovers our forum and then all our products in the tan bottles with the numbers they tend to get confused.

People working in the re-finishing industry get on the job training usually by guys that are seasoned and knowledgeable about our Professional Line as well as competing products in this industry, so there's less confusion about our products, as well as everyone's products in the industry we formulate and distribute the M80 into.

But yes, we do understand that sometimes the names of products, (ours and theirs), can be confusing. Hopefully this forum is helping to clear up some of the confusion.

Sometimes a person just has to get their hands on the products that interest them and instead of studying the labels or reading the forum, instead go out into your garage and get familiar with the product.

For the painted panels, you could try ScratchX since you don't have any more Medallion and you don't like DC1 then go to wax.

For the plastic bra segments, just apply some Tech Wax.

Because of the plastic trim and the plastic protective films, these cars cab be a little challenging to buff out. Personally wouldn't do it myself without taping it off really well and using a DA Polisher.

The below is from this thread.

Using the G-100 to remove swirls with the Professional Line

Using Painters Tape, tape-off any plastic trim or components that you don't not want to get product onto and also tape-off any edges, high points or areas with known thin paint.

Your car may not look like the below car, but the taped-off areas should... It's virtually impossible to be so good with a machine to avoid the problem 100% on each car you work on so the next best thing is to be pro-active in your approach and by this we mean to tape-off any trim or other surfaces that you don't want to get residue on.

Compounds are a no-no by hand.
Fine Cut Cleaner can be used by hand.

The ONLY compound that can be used by hand is M105.

The problem with using the other compounds by hand is that you can't break down the abrasives. It tends to marre the paint.
