I detailed the exterior of my '07 Techno-gray Saturn Aura on Saturday. I washed, clayed, used #80 with PC & an 8006, hand applied/removed a thin coat of NXT 2.0, then sparingly sprayed and wiped UQD. 95% of the dealer-installed swirls were gone and the car glistened like a precious jewel!
The next day, after driving back from work, I California-dusted the exterior and hand applied a 2nd thin coat of NXT 2.0, topped off with UQD again.
The car looks good but it no longer has that jewel-like gloss.
I did my wife's '96 white Saturn with the same process 3 weeks ago except no 2nd coat of NXT and it still glistens.
Should I buff the Aura today with the PC and a UQD-misted finishing pad, or is there a better way to restore that WOW gloss it had after the 1st coat?
