If you clay, you will have to repeat the whole process again.
I would just apply NXT-2 on top of what you already have.
I agree! I'm in a similar position, as I just applied a coat of #21 on Dec 23rd, and yesterday my Meguiar's car care package arrived in the mail, so I now have NXT 2.0 in my possession! So I'll be putting a coat of that on my car this weekend (I haven't driven my car since putting on #21 since I'm still off on xmas holidays) When I put the #21 on, I figured I would most likely be adding NXT 2.0 on top of it.
It seemed to me that NXT attracted more dust than the #21 just sitting overnight in the garage after application. This is one of the reasons I prefer the #21.
The problem I have with both is they way they shed water. I am hopeful if the new formulations shed water better that the car will stay cleaner longer and be easier to dry.
I just applied 2 coats of NXT 2.0 on my silver maxima, and it looks awesome!!!!! The paint looks extremely clear and glossy, you can actually really see the silver paint and the surface feels silky smooth, like glass. The car is brand new, I bought it in early December, so I clayed it for good measure to remove surface contaminants and so the wax could bond better to the paint, I then applied the wax. The wax went on and off very easily, I am impressed by it so far. We'll see how durable it is.
When will nxt 2.0 be available in all walmart stores?
No definite answer... we have a kit that includes NXT 2.0 that is already out but the bottle of wax by itself isn't available yet that we know of. Been told it will be available for online orders starting in January.
As an update, I applied NXT 2.0 to my wife's car a few weeks ago. I have done 3 washes since, and it still looks as good as it did after the initial application. I haven't used any QDs or Spray waxes - I am wanting to get a true test of its durability.
I wonder if #21 v 2.0 will last longer than NXT v 2.0? I know that the original version of #21 definitely lasted longer than the original version of NXT, that's why I switched from NXT to #21.
Im interested in the same question. I did not intend on buying NXTv2 till I saw it at walmart. I was just going to buy #21v2 when it came out. Would I benefit at all in getting #21v2 now? I never use a rotary and that stuff is $20 a bottle!
since this a nxt 2.0 thread i would like to post a question here about the differences between the new 21 2.0 synthetic sealent and nxt 2.0 syn wax?
im just a little confused about the two products or is more along the lines that 21 2.0 is more of a professional product that is rotary capable and nxt 2.0 geared more to consumer and hand or PC application?
i got my wal mart pack using alot of gold class to finish it up before i try it, ive never tried any of the nxt product line yet.
