Doing the swipe test 30 minutes after should be more than enough.

The temp was in the low 60's with over 90% humidity. I am guessing it was a combination of temp, humidity, and putting it on a little to thick.
I found the problem. I went to apply another application with the PC today and about half way through the pad accidently hit the ground. I switched pads and finished the other half of the car. The first half did not dry. The second half was dry in about 15 minutes and ready to remove. The first pad was one that I thought was a clean pad that was used for the first version of NXT. I guess I got some cross contamination that extended the dry time of the new NXT. The second half was on and off very easy and looks great.

The same reason you use a QD.

Question: Why apply UQD after fresh wax?

I thought UQD is used between waxes to give the car looks of fresh wax.

    That would be best.

That thin is perfect! That is how I do it!

Thanks. I always erred towards using thicker coats, but with version 2.0, it goes on so thin and easily, that I have to closely examine to tell where I have waxed-it's *that* thin. Also, should I wait 12 hours after waxing before I apply uqd?

    From the FAQs:

Under normal conditions, Meguiar's waxes and paint protectants take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to dry. To determine whether the wax or paint protectant has cured enough to remove it, you can perform a "Swipe test".
To perform a Swipe Test, take your index finger and swipe it across the film of wax or paint protectant on your finish. If your finger wipes away the dried residue and the surface below is shiny, then the wax, or paint protectant, is ready to be removed.
If however, you swipe the finish and the product streaks or smears, you need to allow a little more time for it to fully cure.
One popular misconception that we would like to address is the false idea that the thicker the layer of wax or paint protectant you apply at one time, the more protection you will leave behind. This is not true. Only a small amount of wax actually bonds to the finish during each application, while the rest is simply removed when you wipe the excess off the surface.
Multiple thin coats are better than one thick coat.

I just finished the second coat of NXT 2.0 (after a 12 hour wait). Went on and off *incredibly* easily. How long should I let it dry for before removing though? I guess I waited about 5-10 minutes. When I finished, I thought I should've let it sit a little longer.

My black truck looks great though. Looks like there *is* a little more pop with version 2.0.

From my own testing of waxed sections compared to sections with no wax, (doesn't matter which company's wax you use), waxes sections always seem to attract more dust than sections that are bare and have no wax.

Do the test yourself sometime and you'll see.
I just found NXT to attract more dust then if I use #26 or #21. I'll be sure to buy some NXT 2.0 and see how I like it. Something I can add to the collection.
