Re: All Purpose Cleaner v.s All Purpose Cleaner Plus

I thought there was a post that talked about the differences in APC and APC+ new/old versions and so on.... just can't seem to find it.

      Hey,

Hopefully I can clear up the misunderstandings. About 3 years ago, the original APC+ was discontinued and replaced with the current version of APC. However, there were a few changes in the product, especially in the dilution ratios. The old APC+ could be diluted to 64:1 where the current APC is for 10:1. They totally smell different and to be quite honest, though the current APC works awesome, I really loved the APC+! I still have some that I use for special occasions only.

The New APC+ was designed for dealers who require a bulk product. It can be diluted further than APC, and is a low foaming formula which makes it more desirable for extractor use. It has a pleasant orange scent which dissipates leaving a nice clean scent when doing a vehicle interior. APC smell is a little stronger and still lingers for a while once carpets for example have been cleaned.

In terms of performance, both work very similar with the differences being in APC+'s ability to be diluted further and low foaming characteristics. I use a ton of both and quite honestly, either one does an excellent job!

If you are concerned about the pump, seals, or something reacting to different chemicals, try doing a pre-spray/scrub then extract with clear water. By doing this, you leave less/no shampoo residue in the carpet and you would allow the chemical to dwell a little longer than the few seconds you would let the shampoo solution in the shampooer work. The residue can cause rapid resoiling. (Exception may be the ones that add a "Scotchguard
          i figured that much out.

i like to use APC on carpets and then just extract with clean hot water.

but in the Bissell i usually just use the recommended formula.

anyone using the Little Green Bissell ever use APC or APC+ in it? any problems.

and oh yes i know about the APC at ADS.
