Water restrictions here in South Florida are getting me up early on a Sunday morning.
If your house has an address that ends in a odd number, like one, three, five, seven, or nine, then you water your lawn or wash your car or boat between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. You can also hand water your lawn between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the same days.
If you live in a house that has an even number address, you can water and wash your car between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Hand watering is allowed between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the same days.
Violators will be cited. Each municipality will determine who will do the enforcing but there could be fines up to $5,000 and the possibility of jail time if you are a serial water restriction violator.
