No

How do you tell if the paint is single stage?

Using any type of abrasive product (polish or compound, even a strong cleaner wax) should result in paint transfer to your pad or towels.

Not really, just realize that it will look a little different as you work on it since you are working directly on the color itself, instead of trying to polish a clear paint above the color.

Also, the pigment that determines the paint color will sometimes effect how hard the paint is. Generally, white is the hardest and black is one of the softer colors.
