If you apply it properly, it works absolutely perfect. RainX got a bad rep because people weren't applying it right.
Here is what I do...
Make sure you are in the shade (I know this is a normal detailing thing, but it is VERY important to applying RainX. If you are in the sun, it will bake onto the windshield and be a PITA to remove.)
Wash windshield.
Clay Windshield.
Wipe with alcohol.
Apply RainX with terry cloth in cirular motions and let haze.
Buff off with microfiber.(Don't worry about getting all the haze off)
Here is the key - apply a second coat of RainX with a terry cloth and let haze.
buff off with microfiber.
You will find that the second haze is WAY easier to remove. It will be easy to make the windhield completely clear.
