Re: waxing windows
I have waxed all of my windows in the past, EXCEPT the windshield. Water slides off nice. Do NOT wax the windshield. Makes the wipers ****, chatter, and generally useless. Tried it once.2006 Black Buick Lucerne (MY LAST BLACK VEHICLE)

Re: waxing windows
Tried Rain-X and was not impressed. Yes the rain blows off, and no need to use the wipers, but going to work in the dark mornings, the windshield had a blinding haze to it, when on coming car lights approached. Just my experience with it.2006 Black Buick Lucerne (MY LAST BLACK VEHICLE)

Re: waxing windows
Sounds like you are on the road early like me.
I don't know what the problem was, it was a year or so ago I used it. Once I cleaned it off, the problem went away. Maybe there was grime on the windshield before I applied the Rain- X, but I thought I cleaned it well.
Maybe I will try it on the new vehicle..I think I may have some of it left.2006 Black Buick Lucerne (MY LAST BLACK VEHICLE)

Re: waxing windows
yeah man up early. it ***** in the winter because its so dark. but its life.
anyways, i know with Rain X you really need to be sure you get all of the product off. i mean one time i thought i got all of it but i didn't notice i left a lot on till i starting driving. turned around and went to clean it.
i use a MF to clean it off and apply some passion. then take it into sunlight and look at it from different angles and then use the other side of the MF for a final wipe.
but a trick i learned when cleaning my windows. when i wash the front i really scrub and the trick is possible, i turn on the wipers and clean the window with the wipers moving at a slow to medium pace. it helps me and i like it. feel it cleans the window better as the wipers press the soap along on their path way.
