Re: How soon to wax a new car?

Well, the pic doesn't really do it justice....

Wash, clay, polish (#2) and two coats of NXT. (Interior and glass cleaned as well.)

Man, this thing feels like glass! It looks better than when I picked it up! The only problem is that I hate to drive it (but I'm gonna! )

      Looks good.

Dont forget some clay and Nxt Metal Polish for those exhaust tips....

Actually, just put them on this afternoon - after my detail!

(Man you've either got sharp eyes or took a guess that they needed cleaning!)

There's always little things to detail... but shiny tips, and mufflers if they show, really finish off the look of the car.

                Thanks guys.

It's always nice to come here. It's good to know that practically anyone on this board gets the same thrill from feeling that "smooth as glass" paint.

Thanks Till...hey, V6 Mustangs are fine cars! (Being an "old" guy, I had to have the V8 ) From the little I can see, I bet you keep your car REAL clean!

Cool.... more pics on your site than were there last time I went. Nice engine. I would have loved the V8, but the ol' husband didn't want the lesser gas mileage. And the one I bought had every option I wanted including side air bags. That's a hard one to find. I really wanted a manual transmission but gangly 6'5 hubby didn't want to work the clutch.... oh well.

And yeah, my car is CLEAN!!!! Thanks to this site. I featured her in my Photoshop collage for the thread about car crazies running the world. Check it out:

I hope I win that polisher!

Hey, have you named the pony yet? And...If you dont' already own the wheel and spoke brush (discontinued, but you can still get them on amazon and a few other places) you're gonna want it! Your wheels are like mine (except mine aren't chromed) and it's hard to get into that tight spot next to the brake calipers. The spoke brush is perfect. Get one NOW!

Your hubby and I have some differences!

                        LOL - very good!

Not yet...I told the Mrs. that I kinda felt like a bad boy when I drove it so she thinks we should call it the Bad Boy. I'm not sure if it's going to stick.

I'll have to look for the brush. I actually have a few Megs brushes that I got a while back, so I'll check the garage first. (I have a bad habit of buying something only to find that I already have it in the garage. I'd like to blame old age, but I've always done that. It's how I wound up with 3 bottles of NXT!)

Speaking of car crazy, here's another site of mine that might be of interest...

Meguairs discontinued their brushes, so if you see them, get what you want.

What does the Wheel and Spoke brush look like?

The wheel and spoke brush is long and yellow and spikey looking. Here is a link to it on Amazon.

(I"m not sure if this link is going to be deleted or not.) You can go to amazon and search for Meguiar's and the wheel and spoke brush will be the last item on the first page of results. (At least that's how it comes up for me.)

Bad Boy sounds like a good name. Let's see if the wifey sticks with it....LOL
