Just an update. I have been looking on and off for a foaming tip for my pump up sprayer. No luck so far. So the other day I am telling a buddy of mine what I am trying to do. I am trying to explain the tip with the screen. Then I remember that I have a foaming sprayer on one of my APC bottles. So I take the foam tip off to show him. Then it hits me, will this fit on my sprayer. Nope it didn't! But, it looks pretty close, I might be able to get it adapted. Just thought I would throw this out there.
Sorry to leave you hanging Mayur, I had to go away for a while. I got a PM from Mayur saying that he couldn't get his hose/straw/Ortho ghetto foamer to shoot vary far. There are several things you can do.
1. cut the hose shorter.
2. use a bigger straw (the type in fabreze sprayers work really well)
3. coil a piece of stiff aluminum wire inside the tube
Hey Blue Zero I will try to get some pics of how to make a foaming tip soon. It's easy and works really well.
Here is a video of my latest Ortho kluge. Once I can get it to pulse it will be done. BTW it's still under $20.00.
This is NXT at 1 oz per gallon. It's diluted 3 parts H20 1 part NXT. Dial set to 4oz per gallon. NXT will not meter accurately at full strength. I checked for this. I also have to test the metering every time I modify my gun.
I have the parts for my gun, now to find time to put it together. It's two hose clamps, a short section of hose and a foaming tip from the ADS foaming sprayer.
I've been using the foam gun for years on the "fright pigs" that some of my clients bring me ie: heavy caked mud, road salt, caked on leaves, extreme road dust etc. & found it removes/softens the bulk of the surface contaminents reducing the possibility of swirls from pressure required to satisfactorily wash the unit.
