Removing #82

I searched but found no prior threads on the easiest way to remove #82. I have applied it after using #83 (with great results I might add) but each time, I've had a lot of trouble removing it easily. I tried both a mf bonnet on the PC7424 and also a mf cloth but the pc barely made a dent and it took a lot of work with the cloth.

Is it:[list=a][*] I applied too much?[*]I waited too long?[*]I didn't wait long enough?[*]all of the above?[*]none of the above?[/list=a]

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Hi Spotty-Dog,

It's probably one of the above, it also might be paint type and/or temperature and humidity issues. Just so you know, I too have had the same problem when applying both the #82 and the #9 with the rotary buffer. It seems that I get my best results when I clean my pad often when buffing and only use a small amount of product.

Other times when I've used these products, I've had no problem at all.

Thanks for the reply! I'd actually given up on this message but in the meantime, I've discovered that I've had better luck removing immediately with a mf bonnet. Maybe that's the answer for my car in my climate.

I found that buffing it too long will make removal of #82 extremely difficult. It is meant to be removed while still wet! I find #80 much easier to work with and is better at removing swirls too. Both products should still be removed while wet.

Yep, if you remove #82 while still damp, it comes off MUCH easier!! Also, remember clean your pad often as that will also help you to apply a more even coat.
