dilution of D111 shampoo plus

Hey Mike,

we have a little question about the dillution of D111 shampoo plus
its says 128 : 1 what means

128:1 means 128 ounces (= 1 gallon) of water and one ounce of shampoo plus".

1 gallon = 3.78 liter
4 gallon = +/- 15 liter

1 ounce = 29 ml
4 ounces = 116 ml ofwel 11,6 cl


so in european term, when we fill up a bucket around here from 15 liter its going to be 116 ml of shampoo, we feel that is a lot of shampoo ? what your meaning about this?

Hi Sven,

I use Shampoo Plus all the time and have found that the stated dilution rates are too high i.e. where you say 116ml I would substitute 80ml which I find is more than enough, especially if you are going to clay, at 100ml + I have found that to cause problems as it leaves an oily solution behind which can make it dificult when claying and indeed polishing etc asswell.

One ounce to one gallon is normal for all of our washes except Hyper Wash which is 400:1

You can dilute down to suit your preference as Bryn states he does, most people tend to go the other direction and over use their car wash solution and then run into problems with streaking.

Thanks all. I questioned Sven about the dilution ratios.
I noticed that NXT car wash is also 40ml / 5 L so the same bucket of 15 L also results in 120ml or 12 cl NXT car wash solution.
