I can tell you as the manager of the Customer Care Center here this sounds pretty far fetched. I have never heard any of my guys say anything close to this and it has never been a part of our internal training or even discussion. I can't speak for everyone at Meguiar's, but if this sounded reasonably plausible I would be very interested in who this friend spoke with. Assuming no one is blatantly misrepresenting the truth I do know that we speak with hundreds of loyal customers every day and sometimes what the customer takes away from the conversation is very different from what we thought we were saying. Anyone in customer service or management knows how this works. This could be anything from a simple misunderstanding to someone just looking for ammunition to prove a point? Who knows. I don't mean to be dismissive, but I echo what these other forum members have said. Something sounds a little off about this. On the chance that it is completely accurate please accept my apology for the bad information and feel free to contact me with any similar concerns.
