  • Heavy swirls,

    Hi everyone.

I have heavy swirls on the entire car, the last owner washed in a automatic washmachine.

I have used quick clay, mirror glaze 80 and NTX wax, and the shine is incredible, but only from special angles.

Is the 80 to mild to clean up my swirl nightmare? I have a tube of ScratchX, but i would take too much time to do the whole car. I use my hands.

    Re: Heavy swirls,

We noticed you're in Norway... Welcome!

How are you applying the M80 Speed Glaze?

If it's by hand then ScratchX will probably be more effective but to get great results you're going to need to use perfect technique as most clear coat paints are harder than traditional single-stage paints and therefor harder to remove small particles of which is how you remove a swirl or scratch... you remove the paint surrounding the swirls and scratches until the paint is level.

It will require a lot of time no matter what product you use because your 4 fingers pushing down on some type of applicator is limited into how fast you can remove paint and how effective you will be at removing paint. Thus the reason clear coat finishes have introduced many people to machine cleaning and polishing.
