I have heard of 2 'grit guard' problems...
1. Some companies, like Rubber Maid, etc that have them built into buckets, etc, people seem to find the dont work for some reason.
2. At some point, there have been 2 different plastics used for the actual Grit Guards from the Grit Guard company. One floats, one sinks. You can imagine which is better.
I orderd mine from autodetailingsolutions.com along with some other products at least a year and a half ago, and mine actualy tends to float a bit in hot/freshly filled water, and sink in cooler water. I dunno...
But to be honest, even if you have to buy 2 bolts for a dollar, and put them through the Grit Guard to weigh it down, it is still worth it.
