When I've had streaks/haziness from Megs LSP's, I usually mist some #34 and re-wipe with a new cloth. This usually helps.

Initially I thought I did not leave the wax to be "cured" long enough, however second time I applied it - I left it overnight. Same thing happened - it was really annoying.
In contrast, I did not have the same problem with Meguiars Gold Glass.
Any help is appreciated

About two weeks ago a customer called me for the same problem after applying NXT on a dark blue car...Yes there was a lot of humidity.
I tried applying a thin second coat of NXT but it didn't work, the darker spots were still there...
I then tried to clean with DC Paint Cleaner, it removed the spots but I still wasn't pleased.
So I tested another spotted area with ColorX, the result was great, looking and feeling ready to apply NXT.
The end result was now what we expected.
I would recommend to prep and clean the paint first with ColorX when you notice this...
ColorX and NXT (or 21) is a very good combo

As for the lighter colors you might be right...but never saw it...

As I stated earlier in the thread..
Mist the affected panel with cool water.
Wipe down with a microfiber towel.
Problem solved.Meguiar's Fire/Rescue/EMS, member of the Church of the Highly Reflective Finish!

Any spray just didn't work after a few days. Are you talking about "greasy streaks" caused by ?humidity? and solved with spraying water...?
I never had this problem as a professionnal but I heard many people saying they "quickly" preped the paint, and were not too carefull if they really wiped off all residue of polish or paint cleaner....and thus didn't know neither if the surface was thouroughly clean...
As we are trying to avoid the problem instead of solving it, my opinion is that humidity is not the real cause.Last edited by Meguiar's Car Maniac; Jun 5, 2006, 10:16 PM.

Mike, do you have any idea why this happens?
"greasy, patchy, oily streaks or spots" are the common descriptions of my customers and also here on MOL.
After a few days, rubbing does not help, the surface has unequal "depht of shine" due to the 'darker' areas/spots.
A customer brought his car on an event we were attending to show this problem on a dark blue metalic.
We did test with different amount of product/dry time, the same problem showed up again...
I found in this matter that ColorX was the quickest way to get rid of them.
After this coat of ColorX the problem doesn't rise again when applying NXT Wax...but why does it happen, not humidity as it also happened in good weather condition.
So is it because the paint is envenly not clean before applying NXT Wax, or...?
I am willing to avoid the problem for my customer, any suggestion?Last edited by Meguiar's Car Maniac; Jun 10, 2006, 12:01 AM.

I had a little bit of streaking on my GTO with the #21. I applied the #21 after claying and using #80, so this was a new car with clean paint. In my case I think I applied too much #21. The streaks did disappear the next day after using Speed Detailer as a QD. This may not apply to your case though.

Thanks for the post RamAirV1,
It seems everybody agrees when it is still 'wet' to remove it with a QD, and I do myself.
The problem with the customers here is that they show up 3-4 days after noticing the problem waiting for a real explanation and asking how to prevent them...
not just solving the problem after...
And all of them (3) argued again and again they did not have the problem with their previous brand...this is what makes me
Mike,
I really need a good argument/explanation that stands...
Thanks
