  • ScratchX or No.9 Swirl Remover

I am planning on polishing out some light scratches and swirls on the lower rear plastic bumper on my Wife's black Mercedes ML350. I have both ScratchX and No. 9, as well as variety of other Megs. products (83, 80, ect..). Because of all of the contours and edges of the bumper, I think that it would be a little easier and safer to do most of the work by hand. I feel that if I use my DA, I won't be able to get the correct surface contact to do the job. Although many people feel that No.9 is very mild, it is still primarily formulated to be a "swirl remover". I was just wondering if one product is actually "stronger" or would be more effective for my application.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    In order of most effective,

    By hand ScratchX

With a rotary buffer M09 (Look at the picture on the label, it's an indicator)

Removing scratches means removing paint, best results with M09 is with a rotary buffer. By hand, ScratchX but you'll have to put some passion behind the pad.

    Have fun!

Thanks for the quick response, Mike!

I guess I'll go with the ScratchX
