Do you think he uses Meguiar's??

Thats just funny. But as for passing judgement,Let me give you a fine example,I let a customer use my Courtesy Car,a 2005 Sonic Blue Focus and it snowed while they drove it so they decided to wash it for me at a local car wash for being nice and letting them use it.The car was scratched from top to bottom and had my Logos on it.I couldnt get to the car for a week.So does that make me a Hack?I would hope not.As for the Nissan Frontier I would definately ask questions before even thinking of handing over the keys.

maybe though, it got a detail or he gets some money to advertise and then this just happened.

        you never know.

        but either way that's funny.

              Just a few comments...

It's probably not a super good idea to pass judgment on this detailer or his work by the condition of his detail rig, but it's also understandable how a group of detailing enthusiasts could and would pass judgment based on the appearance of his vehicle.

Maybe there's a behind the scenes story we don't know about?

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. "

I know there are times when my own rig is filthy because I have not carved the time to properly detail it, but then I don't have business signs on it either. If I did, there would be a lot more pressure to insure it always looked it's best at all times.

I know this is a just a casual discussion, but let's give the owner the benefit of the doubt...

Well I for one will own a GMC detail van soon that will be black over silver with black and yellow graphics.

but......... is my van always perfect, NO.

In a full week we could detail about 12- 25 vehicles. How much time (or desire) you think I have to detail my rig after a long week?

Not having our own cars perfect makes it easier to justify the saying "I treat my customers cars better than my own!"

I agree though. Yesterday I had just enough time to wash my car and my wifes SUV after the recent rains. No time to polish it with a PC, just did a "quick detail"--wash and dress. Is it swirl free? No, but it shines like crazy.

Perhaps he was a painter before he got into car detailing.
