    Hey,

How badly oxidized is the car? Is it single stage paint of base coat/clear coat?

How will you be applying the product: by hand or machine?

If you could please provide a little more info, we would be able to make appropriate suggestions.

        Thanks for the info.

I would suggest first Claying the paint to remove any bonded contaminents. Then I would evaluate. If you have swirls and marring, (from going through car washes, it will have) I would use Meguiar's ScratchX. This will give you a real arm workout! I have provided links below on the proper application method for ScratchX. Follow this with ColorX and then top with 2 coats of NXT Tech Wax.

        So to put in order:

        1. Clay
        2. ScratchX
        3. ColorX
        4. NXT Tech Wax x 2

Now with that said, black is a difficult color to deal with. But it does look awesome when it is totally prepped!

In the future, I would strongly encourage you to look at buying a G100 DA Polisher. Using it with the correct pads and products will do a superior job overall and will save your arms!

I did things by hand for a long time. Bought a PC and WOW. Will not go back.
