First up for a warm Thursday evening here in So Cal was none other than an American classic, a 57 Chevy.

The car had been painted many years ago with a clear coat system.

We first clayed the surface and thought we were working with a single stage, but this ended up being some type of fallout on the paint, likely paint overspray.

Lots of swirls & scratches

The owner had our older G110v2 Dual Action Polisher which he had not used much, so we hooked up some of our new DA thin foam discs and started testing. We ended up using our Ultimate Compound on a DFC5 applied with the G110v2.

Brad helping with a pneumatic DA for the smaller areas.

Taco taking a break from all the fun.

Looking much better now!

The red really glowed. After Ultimate Compound, we followed with M205 Ultra Finishing Polish, followed by a coat of our Ultimate Paste Wax.

Chris was working on cleaning up a Honda he was selling.

That's a pretty clean engine!

Next Project was this Mercedes Benz S class. The owner had used our Ultimate Compound on our DFC5, but this combination did not work to fully remove the defects to his satisfaction. We stepped up to our DA Microfiber Correction System.

What we ended up getting was a whole different color! You can see some haze on the left in this picture which cleaned up in the fishing wax step, but the microfiber pad removed a lot of the embedded grime in the paint, reviving this color back to a bright white.

After the DA Microfiber Correction Compound & Finishing Wax.

Now we are talking!
Thanks to everyone for a fun night! See you next time!
