Re: S2000 Club - Pictures & Comments from Satuday's Class!

    Well that was a blast!
    A big thank you to Meguiar's and to Mike for doing a great presentation;
he covered a lot of material in a short time, and explained everything
clearly. I enjoyed hearing the history of the company.

There are a lot of automotive products out there that you can use, but
when a company steps up to show you theirs and how to use them, that
right there tells you they are CAR people. Can't wait to get to work getting
    my spiderwebs out!

If there had been a "starter kit", you could have sold them all! Something
like a DA polisher, backing plate, 3 pads, a bottle of M80, and maybe a
    3-pack of micro fiber towels.

    Thanks!
    Brian

Re: S2000 Club - Pictures & Comments from Satuday's Class!

I would like to THANK Meguiar's and more specifically Mike for a wonderful day. Mike is an excellent presenter and evangelist and was very easy to listen to during the course of the day.

One suggestion I have relates to the person that is offering his or her car for the demo work. I think Meguiar's should stuff that person's goodie bag with all of the products that had been used on the car so that they can finish the work that was started once they get home.

I look forward to coming back one day soon to learn some more about keeping my ride sparkling.

Re: S2000 Club - Pictures & Comments from Satuday's Class!

          Hi Mike,

I thought you did an outstanding job with the clinic. Everything from showing the history and family nature of Meguires, the history of how paints and polishes have developed over the years, and how the products that Meguires has applies to the current generation of car paint.

I think you did an outstanding job of keeping the interest of the new car owner in how and why he should protect his/her paint job, as well as some of the seasoned individuals that have been around for awhile.

Personally, I already had a base knowledge of the professional line because I used to do some painting on the side for fun, helmets, jetskis and the like. I learned by trial and error, and repainting and trying again. I came away from the clinic with a better understanding of the Meguires line of products and where they fit into the detailing scheme. I wish I had the benefit of a clinic like this back when I was shooting paint back in the.....well, let's say a while ago.

I thought the clinic was totally valuable even thought I knew 90% of it. It allowed me to ask questions from a factory source to guide me to the best products to use for my applications. I've also discovered the forums, which I wish were around back in the....well, awhile ago.

You made it a fun and informative day for all. Thanks

Sign me up for the advanced class so I use that magic 105 compound to fix my paint screw-ups

I just called Customer Care to order a bunch of stuff, and...
They don't have the DA until February.

Oh well.. That'll give my car some time to get dirty.

A heartfelt thanks to the Meguiar's team for sponsoring this class! I have been using Meguiar's products for years but I knew there were many more products available and thanks to Mike Phillips superb instructional technique I went home smiling with all the new found knowledge given here. It was great to hear about the early days of the Meguiar's family and what a pioneer Malcolm was to the company and the industry alike. I look forward to attending the Thursday night detail class and have already informed most of my "Car Crazy" friends that they absolutely must sign up for a Saturday class! And to top it off, we get donuts, pizza, drinks and a goodie bag full of Meguiar's products! My only regret is not attending this class years ago!

Re: S2000 Club - Pictures & Comments from Satuday's Class!

Thanks Mike for teaching me so much in this class... and Berry, thanks for allowing these classes. (By the way, I watch Car Crazy all the time.)

I have to admit, I've never been too interested in understanding the products, processes and techniques of auto detailing. When I would go to the auto store, I would stand in front of the seemingly hundreds of car care products and reading labels to try and figure out what I needed. I eventually would end up leaving in utter confusion. So, if I needed my car detailed, I ended up paying someone to do it.

This class covered a lot of territory from basic products to hands-on power polishing. I learned a lot!

During the class, I asked which product was best for things like rubber, black trim plastic, windshield wider arms, and the like. Mike pulled out a product named Trim Detailer.

When I got home, I tried it on an annoying rubber Air Flow Tube on my NSX. The results are amazing. I just wiped a little bit on, rubbed lightly, and wiped off the excess.

I am now a BIG Meguiar's fan... Thanks.

Today, someone asked me if I just got my car...because it looked brand new.

I ordered M80, Plast X, and pads for the DA polisher. Have to check back in a couple weeks to see when the DA becomes available.

Hey Mike, thanks for showing us the rope on keeping our cars free of those darn spider webs! I can't wait to get started on my cars. I know I'll be going through a few bottles of those polish.

And thanks to Berry Meguiars for allowing these kind of events to take place.
Regular user of Meguiars products before, even more dedicated now.

I am a bit slow in getting to this, but I want to give a big thanks to Mike and Meguiars for the class. It sure helped to fill in some of the missing blanks in my car detailing information.

                                Thanks again,
