    Mike

Thanks for the outstanding class. You really do a great job. There is way more to this than I imagined but you broke it down really well. Your knowledge and years of experience were a benefit to us all. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.

Thank You Mike!!! Just when I thought I knew it all, then I didn't know it all after all. I learned a lot - very informative and I look forward to going back several more times just so I can get all that information drilled into my head. Although I was still suffering from my wisdom tooth recently removed on Thursday, you kept the class flowing very smooth and engaging. I couldn't resist from eating that great pizza either! Thanks Mike! Thanks to Ozzie from our club for setting this up with Mike!!!

Great class and perfect timing!!! When I heard that members have attended this class several times I wasn't sure what to expect. Now I know. I could see doing this again. I can't wait to work on the show car shine!

The class was awesome - thanks! I learned lots of new techniques and got answers to the dozens of questions that I have pondered for years while detailing my cars. Saturday's forecast is 80 and sunny here in Houston so I can't wait to detail my car using my new techniques, chemicals and tools!

Once again, thanks for the great class Mike. I hope you can tell that I learned a lot.

I'm fairly new around here, but most of you can relate to not having your car. A teenager side-swiped my new car by changing lanes into my passenger side about 4 weeks ago. After fighting with his insurance company for a couple weeks, it finally went into the body shop for 2 weeks. Well, I got her back last Tuesday and today

              Mike,
              Having a 05 black Magnum R/T
I would love to know any observations you can share regarding the hardness/softness of the clear coat etc...
To me #80 seams to be strong enough for swirls and small scratches.
Here is mine after a does of NXT (posted in show off a while ago)

                  Re: LXForums.com at Meguiar's - March 3rd, 2007

We have learned through experience to never make judgments on paint hardness or softness, and actually the most accurate word or term would be...

                  Polishability or Workability

Until we're physically standing in front of the car and working on it in person.

The only generalization we would make based upon first-hand experience would be that the paint on newer Corvettes and Vipers with factory clear coats would seem to be very hard with an emphasis on the word very.

That said, we would never make a judgment before doing a Test Spot on the actual car we were working on and it is through the Test Spot, whether by hand or machine, that you will discover how polishable, or workable the paint truly is.

We know people tend to what a simple answer like,

"All the paint on BMW's are soft"

But that's not true and it's not going to happen on this forum.

                  How's that?

We'll post an example to this thread that will drive the point home later...
