...More pictures.
After a four hour plane ride, I showed up and they put me to work. Mike wanted a marketing shot, so here it is.
I remember when 20's were considered huge, but 26's are big even by today's standards!
The Joker's awesome flames - if you want this for a background, let me know.
What do you think of Mike's new tires?
The Buff Squad
Well, I must say that I had a great time. It was awesome to meet and talk with everyone. Thanks for showing me around Ryan. The hospitality of Meguiar's is fantastic. Who else would send someone to pick you up from the airport (Jason Rose) and drive you around town (Kevin Brown and Michael Stoops)? I wish I could come down for every open garage, but this was one awesome trip!

Meguiar's is lucky to have a lot of very talented people working for them that don't get on our forum much and so you never see or hear about them. One such person is Ruben Garcia who works in our Meguiar's Dealership Services division, (MDS). His title is MDS Service Specialist - OC Market. He drives one of our MDS Trucks on a route that calls on auto dealerships and car washes and delivers products as well as provides hand-on training and education. You can think of the Meguiar's MDS Trucks like you would think of the Snap On Trucks only we sell tools that make cars shine!
Our other team members in this division include,
Jaime Ayara - MDS Manager
Chiro Diaz - Senior MDS Service Specialist - LA Market
Jorge Sanchez - Senior MDS Service Specialist - San Diego Market
Ruben is a master behind the rotary buffer and an excellent instructor in the art of polishing paint. Ruben came by while we we're working on the Batmobile and checked it out so we snapped a couple of shots of him...
Here's the specially outfitted MDS Truck he drives all over the SoCal area fighting swirls wherever he finds them...

Re: Batmobile Show Car Makeover - Pictures & Comments
During the Batmobile Buff-Out it was really hard to work on the car and also process photos so we'll do our best to catch this part of the thread up today....
We started out wiping the car clean using Quik Detailer to remove any light dust and other contaminants off the surface before anything else. Meguiar's always stresses the importance of working clean, this means not only the car but also the shop or garage as well as all your applicator pads, buffing pads and polishing cloths.
After we wiped the body panels clean Nick and Ryan began taping off anything we needed to be careful around...
We used our camera flash to highlight the swirls in the paint, this is pretty much how all the paint looked before the makeover...
Next up we clayed the paint... after wiping the car clean we inspected the paint for above surface bonded contaminants by feeling all the panels with our clean hands and our sense of touch revealed that the paint wasn't too bad but definitely needed to be clayed.
We used Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit for most of the panels and some of our Mild Clay from our Professional Line for some of the worse areas in the back of the car.

Re: Batman Car Extreme Makeover - Pictures & Comments
Before starting the paint polishing process we tackled some of the other areas that needed attention like the interior... Ryan and Nick roll up their sleeves and dive right...
The Roll-down Dash was all hand fabricated and very very cool! (New Car Manufacture take note).
We'll see if a little polishing work with brighten it up little to showcase the craftsmanship that was required to recreate the original dash...
Before
The left side is original, the right side is polished.
Before
After
Time to do the other side...

Time to polish the chrome rocket launchers using Meguiar's Chrome Polish, this stuff works amazingly well to clean chrome without scratching while restoring brilliance and clarity to the chrome finish...
The pad on top is a brand new clean pad, the pad below is after cleaning and polishing the chrome on the rocket launchers.
Ryan makes the Bat Emergency Light his next project...
