Pretty awesome site. I zoomed in on my house and saw me washing my car.It is pretty cool to tour a town on the other side of the planet and never leave home. Some of the larger cities have the 3-d effect where you can navigate thru the streets.
I have found myself spending alot of time there. It can be addictive.WW - Shinin' On

I'll have to check it out.
MapQuest used to have a feature somewhat like that. I zeroed in on a lot of landmarks with it.
I like the live cam web sites too. There was a cam in Sydney, Australia that would allow you to operate it from your own PC! It would be dark here, but over there you could see ships, cars, & people moving about in daylight.
What we need is a live cam to see Meguiar's Detail Days on Saturdays!.....Complete with audio.r. b.

I have found that it won't quite pinpoint a location but it sure is in the ball park.Brandon

If you want another head scratcher, use Google Maps and type in Yuba City, CA.
Click on the Satellite or Hybrid option at the top right of the map.
Pan to the right (East), by clicking and dragging, and you'll see a brown area -- I believe that is Beale AFB.
Zoom in to an edge of the brown area to compare resolution between the AFB and the general public. Interesting, huh?
