  • Give it a second glance??

Seeing how we all here care about our vehicles and their appearance I am curious as to if I am the only one that does this. Say you take your vehicle out on a quick trip to the store which you just spent hours detailing and you park it (away from the "bad" cars...LOL) and as you are heading into the building you tend to look back a few times at your vehicle just to see it sitting there looking clean and proud. Are there others out there that have this habit? I know I do this all them time when I have just detailed the truck and go to the store or anywhere for that matter. It is a hard habit to break, along with the parking it away from most other vehicles.

You're not alone on this one! Anyone else drive slow in front of shopping stores... not to look cool, but to see the reflection of your car in the windows?

My wifey ,makes me drop her off at the door so she doesn't have to walk from the end of the parking lot.

What's you folks thoughts on the guy that just HAS to park right next to you when there are 100 spaces closer? IDIOTS I say!

i double park as that way i can be certain that someone who doesnt care will rub their shopping bags on the paintwork.

and you can guarantee that if i park at the furthest bay in the parking lot that people are like Magpies and have to park their beat up old car next to mine banging their doors on mine.

I'll admit to doing many of the same things. The disguised, casual glance over the shoulder at my shiny car, and parking pretty much as far out as possible whenever possible, only to have the most beat up jalope in the county park inches from my door.

My luck at parking seems to be the same as my luck at seat selection on an airplane - without fail, the biggest guy on the plane plops himself next to me. I can pretty much pick out my guy in the terminal.

This is too much! LOL. I thought I was the only one to do this to. The worst is after you’re done the over the shoulder looking etc.. you get in and as your driving you think everyone is looking at your clean car. I tend to think everyone is looking at my car and then say to myself...."ya, you know its clean!".....

Oh ya, how about after just detailing your car the guy in front of you finds the only puddle in the whole universe left after a rain storm 2mths ago and has to drive though it and spray your car! Man that gets me.

Or ya get the guy that has to pull out in front of you and then put his turn signal on when there’s NO ONE behind you! : mad: Ok, hope this wasn't off track to much

I have gotten so bad that once I detail my truck and the running boards are nice and clean, I tend to step over them and not step on them for a bit just to keep them from having the footprints on them...LOL Or even sometimes before bed I will go out in the garage just to look at the vehcle or run my hand along the paint just to admire it. I need help!!

I'm with ya on the running boards. I tell my wife to slide off the seat and jump up into the truck so they don't get dirty.

Is it wrong that I clean the windows almost everyday? I hate the wiper outline after it rains etc...

^^ That is why I try my hardest not to use them because I am scared of getting that outline. Man, we buy our vehicles for enjoyment and then are afraid to use them....LOL

My truck is lowered 2 inches in the front and 3 in th rear, I still have the factory nerf bars and insist to my girlfriend, they are for looks and not use, well she doesn't listen (does any girl do and then amost breaks a hip trying to get in the truck! lol
My girlfriend also hates going with me to places like the mall because I park under a light in two spots very far away as to not annoy anyone for taking up two spots. I don't just glance at my truck as I walk to the stor, I drool over it, lol!
Also, when parking at a curb, I always pull in first then back up so to allign my cobra rims about 1" from the curb. This way the truck is as far from the street as possible without having "curbrashed" the rims.

                          AAAooohhhhhhh (sigh), life is greeeeat!

Uhhhh...when I pull into my (two car) garage which is used only for my Saleen, I open the hood so as to cool off the hood/engine compartment asap in case I need to hit the thing with some QD.
