Anyone here feeling the effects of Hurricane Ophelia?

I live about 250 to 300 miles from the NC coast, but the wind is calm and the air is warm and sticky, with little or no clouds!

We could sure use some rain about now, as we are in short term drought conditions around here.

I live up here in Southern MD. It just barely rained at about 02:00 Easterm. Just enough to speckle my paintjob and windsheild.

I look for you guys to get a good taste of it before too long....But hopefully it won't make landfall.

Don't won't to mess up those crab & shrimp beds now. ......There's nothing like Old Bay spice sprinkled over steaming shrimp!

Someone from Upper Marlboro county? (I think) moved down here about 20 years ago. They talked about going crabbing a lot, and they taught us how to steam shrimp Maryland style.

There may be some shrimp out there. If there are I am unaware of it. Maybe it wasn't that he was cooking shrimp from Maryland but that he was cooking Shrimp "Maryland" Style.

Or, the shrimp population might have dwindled close to non existance and we don't hear much about them these days. That seem to be the way the Oysters are going. Many Oyster fisherman are going out of business due to overharvesting. and pollution.

Hard to say, BUT, I love shrimp and will eat them no matter where they are from. Like Raw Oysters as well.

Editied as an afterthought. Upper marlboro is a city/town. I think its in Anne Arundle County or possibly Prince George's
