  • Wet Shoes?

This is an odd question, but I was wondering if any of you guys wear rubber shoe covers to keep your feet from getting wet while washing a car?

Sometimes my socks are pretty wet after I finish washing the car, and I'm about to see if I can locate a pair of gloshers to keep my feet dry.

I wear sandals, my feet are always soaked after a wash.

That's what I do in the late spring/summer, but for colder months I wear good ole duck boots! Keeps my feet dry and warm and only cost about $15.

I was thinking about the pull over kind that I can remove after the water has been turned off, as I like to wear tennis shoes when I detail.

I think I saw some guys in a thread from Thailand wearing gloshers that worked at WAC (Wash A Car).

I wash my car barefoot. It's more comfortable that way and the combination of the NXT Car Wash and the concrete driveway does a great job of cleaning my feet, better than scrubbing them in the shower. And when I get hot, all I have to do is hose myself down since I'm wearing shorts or swim trunks too. Try it you'll like it!

Plus you can use some of Meg's new brushes to scrub yourself with as well!

In the Spring and Summer I wear rubber sandals. In the fall and winter I wear rubber "duck shoes". I may alternate between two kinds: "regular shoe size" model or "half boot size" .

I have to wear orthotics in my shoes to keep from having heel pain. The foot doctor told me that I have a bone spur in my left foot, so it wouldn't do for me to try to work without shoes.

                Thanks for the ideas though.

Hmmmm. Never thought about that! The Versa Angle Wheel Brush would be perfect for that.

I had one dog that liked to drink out of the hose while I was washing my car, but if the hose moved and he got wet, he didn't like that too much!

I'm seriously considering looking for a wet suit during the off season to wear while washing the car As for kids, well, they'd need their own. He he, look out when the dog decides to shake off all the water!

Wouldn't it be nice if cars could do the same thing?
