Monday's forecast: 40% chance of rain, scattered showers, clearing up significantly by 8pm.

The rain WOULD NOT STOP on monday; tuesday, it was spotty, and I decided to try to get *some* work done, and as soon as I got done chamoising it off, the heavens opened, and it started pouring again. Today (wednesday), I was in the middle of washing a boat, and it started pouring down rain. I think I've completely lost my mind at this point, because I just started giggling uncontrollably, and kept washing it.... even chamoised it... in the rain. Now, I'm back at the house, and looky looky... here's sunshine. as soon as I step outside, just to check the mail, or even go out to the car... it starts pouring down rain.

    The gods are angry.

It's times like this, that I wish I was salary... but instead, I just lost out on a whole week's worth of money.

At this point I would be willing to switch.......

It hasn't rained here for 4 weeks.....the grass is dead, the dogs missing, my air conditioner is on it's last leg, and I have a red spot in my driveway that use to be the paint on my car.

Seriously though, I can imagine that it is tought to make a living being dependent on Mother Nature......I just complain as I am on my way to the office. There has to be a certain amount of enjoyment from the scenery and a job well done, not to mention working on some awesome boats.....there are positive and negatives to both.

Talk to me in December when we're buried in 7 feet of snow and detailing a car is something we can only dream of as we watch the road salt on the road fly all over our vehicles....Mother Nature doesn't hate you.....she just havin fun with you....

snow? what's that? we don't get SNOW here in florida!

heh... I grew up in Chicago... I know a thing or two about snow. Floridians, however, don't have the slightest concept of what it means to have to get up at 4am, just so you have time to shovel the driveway, and eat a hot breakfast, before you can get on your 2 hour commute to go 8 miles.

The air has been rather tropical here in Carolina lately. We've had some flood warnings to boot. Must be the same system that's causing problems in Jax.

Snow!? What is that? You mean you have to shovel it?

I can pretty much detail my car all year round, play golf, fish....

However, living on the edge of Hades has its own set of problems.

At least we get to sweep it off the steps.
