  • Terrible Day

Was 87F and sunny out this morning went out to wash my car. I started out cleaning the dreaded BMW brake dust of my wheels. Got them cleaner then I have ever gotten then, then I proceeded to wash and then finished off with finial detail. We had a small thunderstorm in the middle of the day, later on we left for Lake Geneva Wisconsin and the bugs where just tremendous I was already upset [edited for language; 2hotford] my car got bombarded with them, they literally sounded like rain drops. Anyway we stopped for dinner, overlooking the horizon I see huge storms with lighting and such. Now what I left out of the story was that 2 of my windows and a skylight was open to the max back at home, including a window in the office which has a printer/fax machine right next to (*which was replaced once before after being flooded in 2003*). Anyway we start heading home, it was wet, but it wasn’t raining. The car was trashed now *im really upset [edited for language;2hotford] now* upon entering the zone about 3 miles away from my house there where literally flash floods and hail with 3-4 inch standing water on the road. Worst of all a freaking tanker trunk is gong so slow in front of me the whole way home, I’m thinking the entire house is flooded now, with the printer and fax flooded. Anyway I got to my street and it was totally dry, lucky we got there 2-3 minutes in time to close the windows. My car is totally trashed; it looks as if it was taken off-road. The entire car outside has muddy water spots all over it and bug juice all over the front of the car.

    Hey FrOzen,

We have all had days like that before! It just seems like anything that could go wrong, does. But then when you think about it, you arrived home safe and sound. All the other things are either replaceable or fixable.

Yep, I think next weekend its time to wash, tape up the car, take out the rotary and do a full detail. I been putting it off since feburary. For a new car the paint has no sheen or gloss, there are area's on the hood where it looks as if someone took a brillo pad to it and there is swirls all over.

Nothing else happand today, lucky the windows got closed in time, but the worse thing was that the car which I spent 4 hours detailing got trashed.
