  • Garage Wall Upgrade

Now that winter is approaching, I am looking to "waterproof" my garage walls. Now all that I have is the standard fire-rated drywall. My idea was to put a layer of green moisture resistant drywall over the fireboard, prime and paint with a semi-gloss paint with a waterproofing additive. I know it won't be waterproof, but it should be more water resistant. I am planning on using the 4 inch vinyl baseboards as well. My question is, has anyone used or even heard of SEI Chemical paint-proofer. Looks interesting. Here is a link. http://www.seichemical.com/products.php?cat=9
I have not been able to find any reviews or videos of it in action. Also, I have not seen any of the plastic panels that were mentioned in prior threads that suit what I am looking for a looks wise. I think I would prefer the look of painted drywall. My other thought was trying a product like Drylok which is typically used for masonry and concrete. I just don't know if it will adhere to drywall.

What about using white plastic panels on top of the existing drywall? Easier to put up and remove, and you don't have to paint them, just put some clear sealant on the seams. As an added bonus it reflects more light as well.
