  • Headlight surface

Don't know if this was caused by applying Meguiars paint protections to headlight but I noticed today that it looks like the headlight surface is flaking away. Not sure if it's the product wearing away or what. If you use your fingernail and pick at it, it seems to come off. Any ideas?

    Re: Headlight surface

I have this issue on my 2004 mach 1 mustang, but its definitely a factory coating on the headlights.

When I find the time, I plan on wet sanding, but only to see if this will in fact fix it.

But will ultimately be buying new lights for my baby.

The headlights I have in it now are after markets. I had them on since I think last summer. When I applied Meguiars headlight protection it hid some of it. I never noticed it before that's why I thought it may have been caused by the paint protection being on it. I thought it would be ok to have it on the lights to.
